The law firm McSweeney / Langevin is investigating potential personal injury claims following the November 13, 2013 publication in the American Medical Association entitled Testosterone Therapy and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Men suggesting low testosterone treatment may cause an increased risk of stroke and heart attacks.

The study compared 8,709 men with a mean age of over 60 who had received low testosterone therapy with men who had not received low testosterone therapy. Of the participants, 1,223 patients were started on testosterone therapy in the form of patches, gels, or injections. The researchers monitored the men for more than 27 months. According to the study, 26% of men who received low testosterone therapy had either died or suffered a heart attack compared with only 20% of men who had not received the therapy.

We are offering private and free legal consultations to anyone with questions concerning low testosterone injuries, says attorney Rhett McSweeney.

What Is Low Testosterone Treatment?

Testosterone therapy, also referred to as low T treatment, is prescribed to men to fight the body's natural decline in testosterone as they age. The therapy has been marketed to help improve sex drive, strengthen bone density and build muscle mass. The low testosterone therapy may be administered via gel, patch, injection or mist.

Examples of low testosterone include: Androgel, Androderm, Axirom, Bio-T-Gel, Depo-Testosterone, Delatestryl, Testopel, Testim, Foresta, and Striant.
